The final due date is June15 at 11:59 PM HOL time. After this final date I am unable to accept any more homework.
In order to submit the work, please send your answers to [email protected] with the Subject “Dystopia - Assignment 2 - HOL Name”, replacing the 'HOL Name' with your own. For example, if I were turning homework in, the subject of my email would say "Dystopia - Assignment 2 - Elena Galatas". I would prefer that you submit your homework and extra credit in one email; I'd rather not have to sift through multiple emails as that can get incredibly confusing when trying to keep track of points. Please put your HOL name and house at the very top of the body of your email.
As stated before, there are more than 60 points available, but you will only be graded on the first 60 points submitted. If you rely on assistive technology or have any other needs that should be taken into account, please contact me right away, and we can discuss other options for certain parts of the assignments.
Please upload all graphics to an image-hosting site and send the link with your homework. Do NOT send your homework as an attachment or it will not be accepted!

Opinion (20 points) Is all of Panem complicit in what goes on in the Hunger Games? While the Capitol itself actually runs the Games, one could argue that the entire society supports the vicious and devastating competition by refusing to boycott or challenge the ubiquitous Games. While the law requires people to watch the Games, it is highly suggested throughout the novel that there is also widespread support from other Districts. It isn't until one girl publicly defies the Capitol that the spark of rebellion begins to ignite once more. Why is that? Do you think people would have eventually rebelled, even if Katniss hadn't volunteered? Why or why not?
Given how little information I gave in the lesson, I do not expect fully in-depth responses to this. In reality, I don't expect those who haven't already read the book/seen the movie to respond, but if you'd like to based on the information I gave you feel free! You're also welcome to do a bit more of a research if you'd like. In any event, please make sure all responses are at least 100 words.
The First Phase (15 points) WICKED personnel created the maze as the First Phase of their trials for the Gladers to solve. The maze is divided into eight sections surrounding the Glade. Each night the walls of the Maze change, and they repeat the same pattern every month. This pattern is a code used to escape the Maze. As the newest addition to the Runners in the Glade, it is your duty to make your way through the maze and back to the Glade today.
